Downtown New Orleans is lit for the holidays! More than ever before, there are millions of lights to be seen this year. Grab the kids, hop in the car, crank up the holiday tunes, and check out these beautiful and spectacular displays to get you into the holiday groove.
Convention Center Boulevard
It’s time for another drive down Convention Center Boulevard to see more than 1 million dazzling lights from Canal Street to Henderson, connecting to the Downtown Development District’s lighting from Claiborne to Canal. Take in the displays both outside the Convention Center and on the neutral ground and look for the beautifully decorated tree at Julia and Convention Center Boulevard. Of course, from December 21-31, you can end your drive at NOLA ChristmasFest and step inside the New Orleans Convention Center for tons of indoor holiday fun. And, there’s parking just across the street from the entrance at Hall I – just remember I for ice!

Watch the holiday spirit come alive at Windsor Court. They feature a 19 ½ foot Christmas tree with 25,000 mini lights and over 3,000 ornaments. You can also go check out their decorated ornaments on their special wish tree. Don’t forget about their signature Holiday Tea that’s featured from November 24 to January 3 in Le Salon.
Roosevelt Hotel Lobby
Start your tour indoors by taking a stroll through the Roosevelt Hotel lobby this December. The lobby runs for an entire city block and is a long-time tradition that both visitors and locals can enjoy. The lobby display features 44 Birch trees, more than 22,000 twinkling lights, and scores of festively dressed Christmas trees. You won’t want to miss this magical sight!
Drive down Canal Street to see more than 1 million twinkling lights. Take in the wonderful harmony of holiday spirit and New Orleans tradition with the picturesque street sparkling as decorated street cars go by.
Miracle on Fulton Street
After your ride down Canal Street, head over to Fulton for a fun and festive affair. Beautifully decorated with lights, a giant orb and a decorated Christmas tree, you can also catch Santa. Don’t forget to play in the snow as Fulton Street brings a winter wonderland down south. Be sure to check out the Harrah’s Hotel lobby to see the masterful gingerbread display paying homage to our historical city monument- St. Louis Cathedral.
